The sport of basketball is more than just a sport, often times and for many. The sport can create many opportunities for student-athletes – providing an opportunity to develop character, discipline, life skills and even close personal friendships and relationships that often last forever. For Arizona top-rated senior girl’s prospects, Boulder Creek High School’s Kayla Clark (Southern Utah signee)and PHH Prep’s Amoret Maxwell (Southern Utah signee), basketball has been the binding force that has brought these two young women together. While both of these two young ladies did not know one another previously, these two excellent ballplayers have formed an…
The top available prospect still remaining in Arizona’s 2021 Class of prospects is Eduprize Prep’s gifted 6-foot-1 unsigned senior point guard Justus Jackson. Jackson went into his junior season as one of the hottest prospects in the class, possessing numerous Division-I offers for himself, and was absolutely on the rise in his college recruitment. While Jackson had a strong senior season and turned in numerous strong performances on the Grind Session circuit for Eduprize Prep, the COVID pandemic and a lack of exposure, as a result, severely impact Jackson’s recruitment. Jackson chose to play through the spring and summer, and now…
Our top overall prospect in Arizona’s 2024 Class is absolutely blowing up, as expected. Arizona Elite 5-foot-6 sophomore guard Shay Ijiwoye is a tremendous talent and is our #1 overall prospect in Arizona’s 2024 Class. While she has yet to receive her national ranking with ESPN, she is well on her way – blowing up after a strong performance on the club circuit. While playing for her Arizona Elite club program, alongside fellow stud 2023 prospect, 6-foot junior Mya Verse, Ijiwoye has proven nationally that she is well deserving of a high national ranking among the nation’s elite talents in…
One of the elite prospects in Arizona’s 2025 Class of incoming freshman prospects is already off to an excellent start in his college recruitment – Millennium High School’s 6-foot-5 freshman wing Cameron Holmes. The younger brother of one of Arizona’s elite prospects over the last decade, DaRon Holmes (University of Dayton signee), Cameron is quickly making a name for himself and becoming one of the hottest 2025 prospects in America, as he has already received several Division-I offers for himself. Holmes has not even played a true high school varsity basketball game yet, and is already one prospect that has…
Among the very best available prospects still on tap from Arizona’s 2021 Class of prospects is Valley Vista High School’s very gifted and promising 6-foot-6 unsigned senior wing Elijah Thomas. Thomas, like some other fellow 2021 prospects, is among the most under-recruited prospects in the state – regardless of class. Still with no Division-I offers to his credit, which is extremely hard to believe, Thomas has soared well below the recruiting radar throughout his high school career, but is one of the state’s best overall individual talents. Possessing extreme upside for the future, and a very nice fundamentally sound skill…
One of the elite overall prospects in Arizona’s 2022 Class of prospects is absolutely blowing up after a strong spring and summer performance for himself. Sunnyslope High School’s strong 6-foot-8 senior forward Elijah Saunders has done really well for himself this off-season. After leading his Sunnyslope High School program to a 6A State Title last season, Saunders has performed up to expectations in several events, and now has received (24) different Division-I scholarship offers for himself. The last time we wrote about Saunders during the high school season, I wrote that he was a prospect seriously on the rise in…
One of the elite overall prospects in Arizona’s 2024 Class is St. Mary’s High School’s gifted and mature 6-foot-1 sophomore guard Styles Phipps. Phipps is currently our #2 overall prospect in the class, but is fighting for our top overall spot, after a terrific freshman season where he helped lead the Knights to a 4A State Championship and a strong spring and summer showing that has elevated him nationally among his peers in the 2024 Class. Many college coaches, scouts and media have taken notice of Phipps, who is now another Arizona basketball prospect on the rise. Phipps is well…
Almost two years ago, Glendale Junior College, led by our 2019-2020 ACCAC Co-Coach of the Year Ken Carrillo, won the Division-II Region Championship in the conference with a big championship victory over rival Pima Junior College on their home floor (105-96). Glendale got hot late in the season – winning their last (6) games on the season and picking up a nice head of steam heading into the NJCAA Division-II National Tournament. But Glendale would never get the opportunity to travel to the national tournament held @ Mary Miller Center in Danville, IL. Instead, the COVID-19 pandemic would take the nation by storm, and the remainder of the junior college…
