Another prospect that has emerged over the past two summers, and is now one of the state’s top guard prospects is Ironwood High School’s speedy and athletic 5-foot-11 junior guard Leonard Romayor. Romayor has used each of his opportunities to his advantage and has displayed a serious skill level since entering the high school ranks just two years ago. While being a young sophomore contributor for a talented Brophy Prep team last season, Romayor has now also changed his location for his final two years of high school, and will now suit up for an also very talented Ironwood High…

This weekend, The Hoop Circuit and Tournament Director James Johnson brought together a nice group of college coaches, scouts, and media to Portland, Oregon for their Prospect Camp. No prospect in Arizona’s 2022 Class of prospects blew up more this club season than Sunnyslope High School’s 6-foot-8 senior forward Elijah Saunders. After a very slow recruiting process for himself, Saunders absolutely blew up during the summer’s NCAA Evaluation Period. After leading his Sunnyslope High School program to a 6A State Title last season, Saunders performed at a very high level in several events, and received loads of different Division-I scholarship offers for himself in the process. While Saunders went into the spring evaluation period with one offer for himself, he came out of the month of July holding on to close to…
Another prospect that used the summer’s NCAA Evaluation Period to take his college recruitment to another level is Sunnyslope High School’s dynamic 6-foot, 185-pound senior point guard Oakland Fort. While heading into the spring’s evaluation period with one mere offer to his credit, Fort became one of the hotter point guard prospects in the West’s 2022 Class. While he still has only (5) offers to his credit, many college programs observed Fort and discussed with me the possibility of having him lead their college programs. While I believed that Fort would have and is well deserving of many more offers…
While it was not a surprise, it is still a major announcement, as Dream City Christian Prep’s superstar 6-foot-5, 215-pound senior wing Shaedon Sharpe has decided to end his college recruitment before the fall signing period, and without taking each of his official recruiting visits – electing to give a huge verbal commitment to legendary Head Coach John Calipari and the University of Kentucky. Sharpe is among the very elite prospects in America’s 2022 Class, as he is rated by many national scouting services and also ESPN as the #1 overall prospect in the class. The previous #1 ranked prospect…
Dream City Christian Prep’s superstar talent, 6-foot-5, 215-pound senior wing Shaedon Sharpe has just given a big commitment to the University of Kentucky and Head Coach John Calipari. Sharpe is a tremendous national talent and the nation’s #1 overall prospect in America’s 2022 Class by ESPN. Sharpe transferred last season to Dream City Christian, after leaving Sunrise Christian Prep (KS), and immediately became a star and household name. Sharpe is now set to have a huge senior season for himself with a very loaded Dream City Christian Prep program that has retooled this prep season for The Grind Session. Anthony…

While an unknown college prospect before the beginning of the spring’s season, Chaparral High School’s hard-working 6-foot-8 senior post Michael Saba has worked his way into the conversation. A long and mobile post talent, Saba emerged throughout the spring and summer with some very good production on the club circuit. As a result, Saba is now hearing from many different smaller college programs, and is preparing to have a big senior season for Chaparral in the state’s tough 6A Division. Saba will look to have a breakout season for Chaparral after a junior season where he contributed good numbers, averaging…
The Southwest Basketball Camp took place this week at The PHHACILITY and was organized by former Arizona Preps contributors Gregg Rosenberg and Justin Vargas.
