Central Arizona Junior College (21-2, 28-4) won this year’s Division-I championship in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) – earning an opportunity to represent the conference in the Region-I Championship game, and make the annual trip to Hutchinson, Kansas. #1 seed Central Arizona, after winning the regular season title, knocked off #4 seed Cochise JC, 81-59, in the conference semi-finals. The #1 seed Corona Del Sol High School Aztecs began the 2012-2013 season looking to repeat as Division-I State Champions, after winning it all last season. Corona (28-4) would have their opportunity to complete the task on Saturday afternoon in a rematch with #3 seed Pinnacle HS. Arizona’s 2014 class of prospects may end up being the best class of college prospects ever in the state, as many players in the class already hold numerous scholarship offers. One of the best prospects in the class is Gilbert Highland High School’s 6-foot-6, 215-pound junior forward Jake Toolson. The Division-I semi-finals were determined on Monday, as eight different teams took the floor in the D-I quarterfinals at Wells Fargo, with four teams emerging as the smoke cleared – setting the stage for this year’s semi’s.
