Corona Del Sol High School’s 6-foot-2 ultra-talented sophomore point guard Casey Benson has been on a tear in a short period of time thus far in his high school career. This year’s recipient of the 2012 Arizona Preps Player of the Year award, Benson has seen his college recruitment begin to really pick up steam early. After already possessing two division-I scholarship offers from Arizona State and Boise State before the spring evaluation period, Benson picked up another offer from the University of Colorado recently, and this week has reeled in another scholarship offer from a high-major program in the Athletic Coast Conference (ACC). …
Salpointe Catholic High School’s 6-foot-6, 205-pound senior forward Talbott Denny was among the top unsigned senior prospects in the state, especially after a terrific spring performance for himself. Denny helped himself this spring more than any other Arizona unsigned senior prospect with strong performances on the club circuit. After strong performances on this year’s spring circuit with his Tucson Pump N’ Run club team, Denny generated heavy recruiting interest for himself from many division-I programs across the country. As a result, Denny received several scholarship offers from smaller programs, and also division-I offers from Lipscomb University and Houtson Baptist University. He also…
Arizona Western 6-foot-9 sophomore post Renan Lenz has made his decision. After receiving very heavy recruiting interest over the past two seasons under head coach Charles Harell, Lenz has made his final decision after narrowing his long list of schools down to four. Valley Vista High School’s girls basketbal program is up-and-coming in the state of Arizona. While only being in existence for five full seasons now, it is too early to regard Valley Vista as a powerhouse basketball program in the state – especially since the school is rather new and still developing it’s girl’s program. But the program is definitely on the rise as the Monsoon have recorded winning records in each of their last four seasons of play – compiling an impressive record of 88 wins and only 24 losses in the last fours seasons of action. And the program is coming off an excellent year this…
Northern Arizona new head coach Jack Murphy is very much like the head coach he worked for at Memphis – Josh Pastner. Murphy is very young, hardworking and even relentless, and getting it done in a major way since being hired. Murphy was recently hired to take over a struggling Northern Arizona basketball program and tasked with revitalizing the program’s commitment to recruiting the best basketball talent in the state of Arizona. While former head coach Mike Adras often recruited abroad and passed on much of the top-rated Arizona prospects, Murphy, in just two short weeks, has reeled in letters of intent from two of the state’s…

An almost unknown prospect before this weekend’s event, Adams would emerge this wekeend as one of the top up-and-coming young prospects in the West. A young but very talented prospect, Adams was…
The group of unsigned senior Arizona prospects that make up this year’s version of the Arizona Magic Seniors have come a long way in a short amount of time. Each club season, a group of Arizona players are organized and developed in a span of a month, at the most, in an attempt to gain exposure to college coaches and land a college scholarship, while competing against the best competition the West Coast has to offer. It is always a very difficult task as each prospect comes to a new team after spending an entire season with their respective high school teams. …
