Mountain Pointe High School’s talented 6-foot-4, 170-pound senior guard Amarion Cash has capped off a terrific senior season for himself.  After a terrific senior season, where he led a very good Mountain Pointe team to a 6A state runner-up finish, Cash recently capped it off with a major commitment to a college program. It has been a long road, from a recruiting standpoint, for Hamilton High School’s talented 6-foot-4, 185-pound unsigned senior guard Rashad Smith.  A member of Arizona’s 2018 class, Smith is still undecided on his college destination.  After some success during his college recruitment, Smith is still trying to figure it all out for himself. After one season at Mesa Junior College, very talented 6-foot-10 freshman forward Mikel Beyers has signed a national letter of intent with a program in the Conference USA, and will not return for his sophomore season. Hillcrest Prep 6-foot-8, 225-pound senior forward Stephan Gabriel has decided to hold off on his college recruitment for 2018 and will enter the 2019 class instead. One of the top available prospects in Arizona’s 2018 class is AZ Compass Prep’s 6-foot-8, 210-pound unsigned senior forward Meekness Payne.  Coming off a very good season for his prep program, Payne turned his sights to the NCAA spring evaluation period over two weekends, and played exceptionally well in two different events over the period.
