The Pima Junior College men’s basketball program brought a lot of respect to the state of Arizona this season, after coming up just short of winning the Division-II National Championsip. The #2 overall seed of the national tournament, Pima more than lived up to their billing and finished as the runner-up for the national championship, falling at the hands of #1 seeded Triton College (IL) 89-85. Pima Junior College (28-4), behind the quality leadership of head coach Brian Peabody and his staff, have done it again – winning their second-straight Region-I, Division-II ACCAC Conference Title on the home floor of rival Phoenix College. As a result, Pima will be advancing back to Danville, Illinois for the NJCAA Division-II National Tournament.
