PHOENIX – It took little more than 12 months for the Southwest All-American Camp to establish itself as one of the most prestigious summer of events of its kind in the west. That truth was held to be self-evident on Sunday afternoon, when camp action wrapped at Cortez High with three all-star games made up from among the 100-plus players who participated in the two-day affair. Cody Cameron of Arizona Varsity.com attended last weekend’s Southwest All-American Camp, and here are his standout players from a fantastic Top 40 All-Star game . . . Name: Terrence “TJ” Green School: Carl Hayden Height: 6’5 Class: 2020 One of the best players I saw all day. Green possess nice offensive handles that compliments his explosive first step to the basket. Add those traits to his smooth mid-range jump-shot and you have yourself a talented offensive scorer. Ruiz is a 5-foot-9 guard that has an extreme motor and can get after it.  He’s one of those guards that will bring you solid defense, is a floor general and hustles on every play during the game.  He’s the first on the ground for a loose ball, sacrificing himself for the sake of his team. While evaluating him, I came to a conclusion…

Josiah Jackson  6-0  JR  Valley Vista HS – 2019 Class A very smooth player.  I really like his style of play and what he brings to his team.  He brings energy, consistency, discipline & basketball IQ to the court.  I don’t think he can play at a high level, but he can for sure…
