On day two of this year’s McClintock Holiday Shootout, the day and the performance of the event would belong to Shadow Mountain High School (14-0) and 6-foot-2 sophomore guard Jaelen House.  House would explode for a big scoring performance as his team would aboslutely route a gifted and well coached Mountain Pointe team, 96-46, in the second round of this year’s event. Day one of this year’s Visit Mesa Basketball Challenge got underway in epic fashion, as the final evening match-up between Apollo High School (12-2) and Corona Del Sol (10-2) would make for one of the best games of the high school season.  When you consider the individual performances, the level of talent displayed on the court and the anticipation of the large crowd in attendance, it may have been the best game of the season. Pima Junior College 6-foot-8 sophomore forward Deion James has improved a great deal over the past year, after heading the division-I route after high school.  After a year in the division-I ranks, James developed a great deal as a player and saw his game progress nicely.  As a result, James is now among the elite leaders in the conference’s ACCAC, and has become one of the top juco prospects in the West.
