After what seemed like a long college recruitment, although it was actually a year sooner than it would have been, the exciting college recruitment of Pinnacle High School’s superstar 6-foot-3 senior guard Nico Mannion has come to an end, after the gifted guard prospect selected the University of Arizona and head coach Sean Miller and his staff on Friday.  While it was an exciting recruitment for Mannion, he decided to pull the trigger very early in the recruiting process – giving his verbal pledge a year earlier than expected and in the early fall recruiting period. It has been a very interesting and difficult road, but it is headed to end in fine fashion for Hillcrest Prep’s 6-foot-7, 225-pound senior forward Stephan Gabriel.  After playing very well in several events this summer and raising his recruiting stock a great deal, and after taking a couple recruiting visits, Gabriel has decided to end his college recruitment – giving a verbal commitment to Bradley University in Illinois, and a member of the very competitive Missouri Valley Conference. Central Arizona Junior College 7-foot, 220-pound sophomore post Trever Irish is among the best low-post prospects returning in the NJCAA ranks this junior college season, and definitely among the top overall returning prospects in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) this up-and-coming junior college season.  Irish is set to take an official recruiting visit to a school from the Big-West Conference this weekend. The time has arrived after 20 years of events, the amazing 20th Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase, Arizona’s original showcase basketball event, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 20th and 21st, 2018 and will be making it’s return to the very nice venue – Inspire Courts, located at 1090 North Fiesta Blvd, Gilbert, Arizona 85233.
