This season will see a lot of new changes in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC), as there will be new coaches in the conference and, of course, new players.  One major change in the conference this season will be the departure of former Phoenix College head coach Matt Gordon, and the addition of new head coach Duane Eason at Phoenix College.  Once an assistant coach at the program, Eason will now take over for Gordon after a very successful season as the head coach at Mountain Pointe High School, where Eason led the program to a 6A State…

Arizona’s 2020 Class of prospects is absolutely loaded with talent for the future.  One of the better prospects in the class is still a relatively unknown prospect by many, but is coming off a strong performance this spring and summer for himself.  Gilbert High School’s 6-foot-7, 175-pound junior forward Griffin Lamb is a nice talent with nice upside for the future.  I was impressed with Lamb’s ability to play the game this summer, and look for him to blossom into a nice prospect over time. Former Shadow Mountain High School graduate, 6-foot-8, 240-pound sophomore forward Isaiah Jones has really done well for himself since moving on to the collegiate ranks.  After signing and playing for Biola University last season, Jones decided to transfer schools this spring in an attempt to play at the division-I level.  Since leaving the program, he now has two different division-I offers on the table for himself. Many of Arizona’s top-rated prospects utilized the summer evaluation period to raise their overall recruiting stock.  One of the top prospects to take advantage of the summer opportunities available to him was Rancho Solano Prep High School’s ultra-athletic 6-foot-4 junior guard Kiimani Holt.  Each time Holt and his loaded Powerhouse Hoops 16U team took the floor, Holt seemed to gain more recruiting interest, and, ultimately, offers for himself.
