One of the top overall guard prospects in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) this past season has flown well below the recruiting radar, but is worthy of serious recruiting attention. Chandler-Gilbert Community College's talented 6-foot-2 sophomore guard Justin Fisher had a strong sophomore campaign, while helping lead his Chandler-Gilbert program to a regular season ACCAC Division-II title this season. Fisher is still available for college programs to take a hard look at this spring, as he is a very good sleeper prospect and is simply better than advertised.
Fisher was not a big name in the ACCAC this season, but he was among the best individually talented guard prospects in the conference, and he had a very good season for Head Coach Steve Silsby. He has very good size for the point guard position and excellent athleticism. He is a very good looking sleeper guard prospect for the right college program, as he knows how to run a team, and has a nice overall offensive skillset.
Fisher played a vital role for Coach Silsby this junior college season, as he ran the point position all season for Chandler-Gilbert and set up his teammates well for success. Fisher helped lead Chandler-Gilbert this season to an impressive 27-5 overall record on the season, and an 18-4 record in the conference. Fisher averaged 10.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per/game, while shooting 44.6% from the field. Fisher really could have put up better scoring numbers this season, but he was efficient in the manner he led the team from the point guard position.
Currently, Fisher advised me that he is hearing from numerous smaller schools currently, but he has yet to make his college decision. The longer Fisher waits, he could see higher college recruitment, as college coaches eventually turn their sights away from the NCAA Transfer Portal, and begin to focus more on junior college prospects.
I will continue to follow Fisher's recruitment closely this spring, as he is a guard prospect that I really like, and believe he can make an impact for the right college fit. I will keep you posted as his college recruitment continues to develop.
