The response has been tremendous, the excitement continues to build, and Arizona Preps is preparing for what is expected to be an outstanding first-year event. Since introducing the 1st Annual Arizona Preps Middle School Fall Showcase to the Arizona basketball community, the response has been astonishing. Arizona Preps has already received a large number of player registrations, along with tremendous interest and support from throughout the basketball community.
Arizona Preps is proud to launch this first-ever event, designed specifically to identify, evaluate and create exposure for the top young basketball prospects throughout the state of Arizona. The inaugural Arizona Preps Middle School Fall Showcase is scheduled to take place September 20, 2026, at Mesa High School, and will feature boys from the seventh and eighth grade levels, primarily highlighting Arizona’s talented 2031 and 2032 graduating classes. The tremendous interest surrounding this event further confirms the growing talent level and excitement surrounding the next generation of basketball players in Arizona.
For many years, Arizona Preps has experienced tremendous success with its annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase, which focuses on high school teams and has developed into one of the state’s premier preseason basketball events. The high school event enters its 28th year in 2026, demonstrating the tremendous history and staying power of the Arizona Preps showcase platform. The creation of the Middle School Fall Showcase represents the next step in Arizona Preps’ continued commitment to identifying, evaluating and promoting Arizona’s top basketball talent at every level.
Unlike the high school team showcase format, the Middle School Fall Showcase will feature an individual showcase setting, providing Arizona Preps an opportunity to get an extensive look at each participating prospect. Players will be evaluated on their overall skill level, athletic ability, basketball IQ, competitiveness and long-term potential. More importantly, the event is about exposure. Young prospects throughout Arizona will have an opportunity to compete against many of the better players in their respective classes, while beginning to establish themselves on the statewide basketball scene.
The entire Arizona Preps staff will be in attendance throughout the event, providing complete coverage and evaluations of the participating athletes. Every player in attendance will have an opportunity to be identified and evaluated early in their basketball career by Arizona Preps, as we continue our mission of documenting, evaluating and showcasing the tremendous growth of basketball talent throughout the state. For young prospects in the 2031 and 2032 classes, this event will provide an important opportunity to begin making a name for themselves before entering the high school ranks.
Arizona continues to produce more talented basketball prospects each year, and identifying these players early will allow Arizona Preps to follow their development and accomplishments throughout their future high school careers. Arizona Preps has also received tremendous support from the basketball community since announcing the event. Numerous members of the Arizona basketball community are expected to be involved with the showcase, and we are extremely thankful for the support and enthusiasm that has surrounded this event thus far. That response has made one thing very clear - the Arizona basketball community is excited about the future. And the future will be on display at this year's 1st Annual Arizona Preps Middle School Fall Showcase.
This exciting new event represents the beginning of what Arizona Preps expects to become an annual tradition, and another important platform for Arizona’s young basketball prospects to gain valuable exposure, receive evaluations and begin making a name for themselves. September 20th will be an exciting day for Arizona basketball. The future stars of the state are coming together — and the Arizona Preps Middle School Fall Showcase is shaping up to be on another level.
