Pima Community College 6-foot-8 sophomore forward Deion James is coming off an excellent sophomore season for himself in the ACCAC – leading Pima to an ACCAC Division-II season title, their first Region-I, Division-II conference championship since 2010.  The Aztecs beat Glendale Community College 119-111 in the semifinal round, and then upset #1 seeded Phoenix College 102-99 in the conference final. While it is is unclear why he doesn’t have much more recruiting interest at this point, Aspire Prep Academy 6-foot-9 prep forward Nik Mains is still on the recruiting board this spring – looking to land a school very soon for himself. Saguaro High School’s 6-foot-5 junior guard/forward Jared Martin has made the biggest jump in our recent player rankings for Arizona’s 2018 class of prospects (Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report). Martin recently also helped lead his club program, Powerhouse Hoops Black, to a tournament championship at this year’s Baylor All-Star Classic in Chicago, Illinois – defeating the historic Mac Irvin Fire in the event’s championship game.
