Arizona's 2023 Class is on the rise in the state, and so is Bella Vista Prep's rising young star guard Vincent Delano. The ultra-athletic and promising 6-foot-1 sophomore guard prospect changed high school programs just before the start to the high school season, and this week he received a nice host of Division-I offers for himself - making him a hot target for numerous mid-major Division-I programs. Delano is one of our top prospects in Arizona's 2023 Class, and it is showing quickly, as college programs are looking to position themselves with the athletic guard prospect.

After beginning his high school career at St. Mary's High School as a freshman, Delano decided to transfer to Bella Vista Prep just before the start to the high school season, where he will now play for new Head Coach Gino Crump, who took over the prep program in the middle of the prep season.

This spring, Delano also decided to team up with a loaded 16U team for the Under Armour Select program, and, as a result, his college recruitment has taken off significantly.

This month and mostly in one week, Delano received a nice pouring of Division-I offers for himself, which should take his recruitment to completely another level. Delano received offers from UC-Riverside, Portland, Southern Utah, UC-Santa Barbara and Rice University. While I expect Delano to receive many more offers over time, this is an excellent list of college programs for the gifted guard prospect.

Delano has really developed quickly as a college prospect, and his superb athleticism has allowed his game to go to another level. He is a tremendous athletic talent that is already dunking the basketball very easily in traffic and over defenders, which has been instrumental in helping raise his overall play on the court. He has grown much stronger physically and is much more explosive off the floor, just since a year ago. Such quick development in his body suggests that the sky is the limit with this young man, who is a gym rat and absolutely loves the game. He has a quick release on his shot with excellent range - making him very difficult to defend. He is also very quick off the dribble with excellent explosiveness. He plays fast and can create off the dribble for himself and his teammates.

A very good facilitator, Delano is an excellent ball handler and passer that sees the floor and pushes the basketball up the court. He is also a very good defender that plays passing lanes, and is a very strong on-the-ball defender that accepts challenges. As a result of each of these assets and attributes as a player, Delano has a very bright future ahead of him as a college prospect. Now with his early offers and recruitment, the sky is the limit for him.

The 2023 Class in Arizona is absolutely loaded with talented prospects, and Vincent Delano is one of the very best prospects in the class early. He is also on the rise and could see a jump in our next Summer Player Rankings in the class. He is also an excellent young man that is very well spoken and has an excellent personality - another great attribute for a college prospect.
