Pinnacle High School's superstar 6-foot-3 rising sophomore combo-guard prospect Nico Mannion has received loads of recruiting attention nationally since entering the high school ranks. After also receiving a Top-25 national ranking by ESPN for America's 2020 class, Mannion has seen scholarship offers pour in for himself over the past year.
This week, while playing exceptionally well in Las Vegas with his club program, Earl Watson Elite (CA), Mannion received another PAC-12 scholarship offer for himself, as the University of Washington extended an offer to the budding young star prospect. Mannion also possesses PAC-12 offers already from Stanford, University of Arizona, UCLA and Arizona State. Mannion also has offers from UNLV, Tulane, Marquette and Cal State Northridge, with many more scholarship offers still on the horizon.
After already receiving a Top 25 national ranking among the nation's elite members of the 2020 Class, Mannion has become an extremely hot commodity for many high-major college programs across the country. Mannion and club teammate Josh Green have teamed up with the Earl Watson ELite (CA) this club season, and both prospects have become two of the hottest prospect combinations in America.
Mannion led his Pinnacle HS team last season to a 22-7 overall record, and a 6A state playoff berth, before losing in the second round to a loaded and very athletic Chavez team. In the process, Mannion averaged a very impressive 19.8 points, 4.4 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 steals per/game.
I will continue to follow this young man's progress as a college prospect, and his tremendous development as a player - bringing you any recruiting updates as they continue to develop.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Mannion is a very slick guard prospect with an excellent handle of the basketball and a superb overall offensive skillset. He has excellent quickness and very good athleticism, and pushes the basketball up the floor. He is a terrific shooter of the basketball with range on his shot and a quick release. A fundamentally sound performer, Mannion has a developed knack of scoring the basketball at a young age. He is also a very good passer that sees the floor and makes players around him better. A good on the ball defender with good lateral quickness. An active rebounder for his size. He is still growing a great deal and could reach 6-6 in height. The son of a former professional player. Mannion is a sure-fire prospect for the future and is among Arizona's and the nation's next elite prospects.
