Former Millennium High School transfer guard, Eduprize Prep 6-foot-1 senior guard Justus Jackson is rated among the top overall prospects in the state of Arizona, and a top-rated guard prospect in Arizona's 2021 Class. The talented guard prospect is off to a big start to the prep school season on the Grind Session, and has not missed a beat in his performance since deciding to change schools before the start to his final senior season. In fact, Jackson has gone to another level in his play under the direction of new Eduprize Head Coach Christian Polk.
For new Eduprize Head Coach Christian Polk and Justus Jackson, the season has been exciting, as it has been a new challenge for both of them. A new prep program for Polk and a new high school team for Jackson - the two have come together nicely and have gotten off to an excellent start together, as Eduprize has won some big games early on the Grind Session. In fact, the program has won their last (4) games in a row on the season, and has big wins over West Oaks (FL), who was rated as #6 team in the country, Balboa Prep (CA) and also Bella Vista Prep.
Jackson has been the key to the team's early success this prep season, as he has been the team's leading scorer - averaging 22 points per/game and being the catalyst for the program's early season success.
Jackson is still looking to decide on the right college fit for himself, and likely will look to make his college decision during the spring signing period. Currently, Jackson has offers for himself from Portland, Pepperdine, Grand Canyon, Southern Utah, Pacific, Montana State, UC Riverside, Montana and North Carolina A&T.
It will be very interesting to see if Jackson leans towards one of the current college programs that is also currently recruiting him hard, and they have for some time, or whether he will wait and elect for a bigger college program this spring. Jackson is definitely one of the elite guard prospects in the West, so he should have more schools looking to get involved with him throughout the shortened high school season.
Jackson is an electric guard prospect with superb athleticism and bounce off the floor. He plays on his toes and with a bounce in his step, which allows him to play quick and with explosiveness. He is excellent off the dribble and has a pure shooting stroke with a quick release with unlimited range. He can have questionable shot selection at times, as a result of his unique ability to make shots from anywhere on the floor, which can be a blessing and a curse, but he is able to make plays that most guards cannot, as a result of his creativity and imagination on the basketball court. A big-time scorer of the basketball, but he also has the rare ability to lead a team and make plays for others. Over time, as he matures and learns just how good he can be, he will learn to score and assist at an even higher rate and more purposefully. This is a big-time individual talent that has the potential to become special.
Jackson is a rare find among guard prospects in the sport, as he plays with a superb level of self-confidence in himself, and is able to do just about anything that he wants, and even when he wants to. He can get to anywhere he wants to on the floor, and make plays happen at a high level. As he matures as a player, he will go to another level at some point, and will reach new heights as a leader and producer, which is why his game and level of talent translates to any level of college basketball. He has the athleticism and skill-set to play at any level, and also has a true position, which will make that possible for him. I will be watching closely this season to see just where his talents take him for college.
In the process, Jackson's talents and exploits have quickly made a new Eduprize Prep program a new force to be reckoned within the state and in the West. I look forward to watching Jackson continue to grow as a college prospect, and also the Eduprize Prep prorgram, as Polk definitely has the program headed in the right direction, and fast.
