One of the elite prospects in Arizona's 2021 Class has found a new high school home for himself, after ultra-talented 6-foot-8 senior wing prospect Isaiah Broady decided to transfer schools this week - leaving Chandler High School and landing at Arizona prep power AZ Compass Prep. The addition was a big one for AZ Compass Prep. Broady is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state, and is set to have a big senior season.
Broady's announcement to relocate to AZ Compass Prep was serious, as he is set to have a huge senior year, and pick up numerous scholarship offers for himself. While he has quickly become one of the hottest recruiting targets in the state for the 2021 Class, he surely now will get hotter, as he will now be playing for one of the hottest prep programs in the country, and on the highly competitive and marketed Grind Session. Broady's prospects for the future were already good, and now they have become better.
Broady recently received an offer from GCU and their new basketball staff, and he also has offers for himself from UC-Santa Barabara and UC-Davis. Look for that list to grow a great deal in the near future, as college coaches begin to catch him in action. Broady would have become one of the hottest prospects in the West, had the COVID pandemic not shut down the spring and summer NCAA Evaluation Periods.
Now Broady will team up with a host of talented performers, led by 2021 star guard Ty Ty Washington - giving AZ Compass Prep a formidable lineup. Broady was also recently selected as the Tournament Most Valuable Player at this summer's Southwest Basketball Camp.
Broady is a superb talent with loads of upside for the future, and excellent versatility on the basketball court. He has excellent athleticism and a high basketball IQ, combined with a superb overall skillset. He has bright future ahead of him with continued hard work, and focus on and off the basketball court. The sky is the limit with this young man, and I really enjoy watching him play. One of the best sleeper prospects in the West.
Broady will become one of hottest uncommitted prospects in the West this high school season, if he decides to wait late before making his college decision. I really look forward to watching him play this high school season, and look forward to bring you updates on his recruiting as it continues to develop.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Broady is a big-time talent with loads of upside for the future. He has grown physically a great deal since his junior season, and looks extremely long and rangy, with a variety of offensive skill-sets that allow him to play several positions on the floor and handle the basketball in the open floor. Brody is able to handle the basketball quite well from the point position and make plays for himself or others off the dribble - suggesting that he will be able to become a very versatile performer over time, as he matures physically. Can create off the dribble. Has a nice shooting stroke with unlimited range on his shot, and is a very good passer that sees the floor - making him very difficult to defend. His extreme length allows him to rebound outside of his area, and also block/change shots with regularity. Runs the floor quite well and enjoys a fast-breaking offense. A superb talent that has the ability to play at any level with continued hard work and focus. Has tremendous upside for the future.
