Hillcrest Prep continues to make national noise and also set new trends to help revolutionize the game and prep basketball. This week, it was announced nationally that Hillcrest Prep has now joined the Overtime Elite League – a professional league of aspiring NBA prospects that has received serious international attention. In very surprising recent news, 6-foot junior point guard Gabe Pickens decided to leave Millennium High School, where he was the catalyst for the talented and young program, and has now joined a loaded group of college prospects at Hillcrest Prep. For the first time in (23) years of existence for Arizona Preps, the organization ventured to Tucson, Arizona, to conduct the Arizona Preps Southern Arizona Showcase event. Organized by Southern Arizona Arizona Preps contributor John Millyard, the event featured close to (85) different boys and girls high school student-athletes from the Southern Arizona region, primarily Tucson. In exciting fashion, AZ Compass Prep’s athletic 6-foot-1 senior point guard prospect Vince Delano decided to end his college recruitment today – announcing his college decision through a nice video posted on social media. Delano found his right college fit, and decided to pull the trigger with the University of Portland and their staff early.
