On Wednesday evening, here in Philadelphia, PA, this year’s exciting annual Reebok Breakout Camp will get underway officially at 5PM (EST). I am here in Philadelphia getting set to catch a glimpse of the first day of action on the campus of the University of Philadelphia.  Camp action began this morning with workouts and drills by the players, as well as getting situated in their dorm rooms and taking individual player photos. The two top prospects in Arizona’s 2013 class of girl’s prospects have made their college decisions, as twin sisters, Dominique and Danielle Williams, will head different directions for their collegiate futures. While it had been rumored that both St. Mary’s High School 5-foot-9 rising senior girls prospects would soon make their decisions, it was thought that both would end up at the same college program.  Not so, as the twin duo will split up for college. Another prospect from Arizona’s 2013 class of girls prospects is off the recruiting board. After a terrific junior season where she led her Flowing Wells High School basketball program to a strong 27-4 record on the season, 6-foot-2 rising senior post Lyndsay Leikem has given a verbal commitment to Ole Miss. St. Mary’s High School head coach Curtis Ekmark has changed the basketball landscape for girls basketball in the state of Arizona in a big way.  After posting a perfect 30-0 record during the 2011-2012 high school basketball season, winning this year’s prestigious Nike Tournament of Champions, winning the Division-I state championship for a second year in a row and, ultimately, winning a national championship with the St. Mary’s Knights, Ekmark has raised the bar for the level of basketball played in the state of Arizona.
