The 1st annual Duel in the Desert took place this weekend on the campus of Bellavista Prep in North Scottsdale, and was well attended by many of the top scouts in the West, including numerous college coaches. Both programs seem to be heading in different directions currently, as Scottsdale Junior College (5-4, 2-1) won their second game in a row on Saturday evening, while South Mountain (6-3, 0-3) would lose their third game in a row.
