The nation’s #1 ranked team, South Plains Junior College (TX) came to Arizona over the winter break – proving their dominance and winning this year’s Fiesta Bowl Shootout at Mesa Junior College. On Wednesday evening at this year’s exciting McClintock Holiday Shootout, as expected, top-ranked Shadow Mountain  improved their undefeated record on the season – advancing to the tournament’s championship game after a 77-57 victory over a talented Chandler team.  In the final game of the evening, Hamilton, led by head coach Doug Harris and his staff, were able to squeak past Brophy Prep on a last second shot, 46-44. On day two of this year’s McClintock Holiday Shootout, the day and the performance of the event would belong to Shadow Mountain High School (14-0) and 6-foot-2 sophomore guard Jaelen House.  House would explode for a big scoring performance as his team would aboslutely route a gifted and well coached Mountain Pointe team, 96-46, in the second round of this year’s event.
