The wait is finally over for Desert Vista High School’s 2017 graduate, 6-foot-6 wing prospect Caleb Simmons. After playing through the spring and summer this club season, Simmons has landed a big Mountain West offer, and will now sign with San Jose State University, where he will play this fall. Shadow Mountain High School’s tough and hard-working 6-foot-5 unsigned senior forward Darion Spottsville is now official off the recruiting board. Spottsville was rated among the top unsigned prospects in the state of Arizona, but after this week, he will no longer be unsigned, as the talented combo-forward prospect has given a verbal commitment to South Mountain Junior College and new head coach Matt Bjorklund. This past weekend, Arizona Preps was in attendance for this year’s TR3 Hoop Summit, a summer showcase format event that was organized by the Team Harden club program’s staff. The event was held in the West Valley at Ironwood High School and included showcase games and all-star games to conclude the event.
