Liberty High School’s ultra-athletic 6-foot-2 senior combo-guard Josh Ursery is a big-time athletic talent that has a bright future ahead of him, as a result of his tremendous ability to play above the rim with serious recovery and an extreme motor.  It has also been widely known that Ursery has had his troubles in the classroom.  As a result, Ursery realized his future early in the recruiting process, and now has decided on a junior college home for the future. It has been a road filled with some travels but a lot of hard work.  After deciding to leave Gilbert High School a year ago and compete for AZ Compass Prep, 6-foot-6, 200-pound senior wing DJ Hawkins landed this season at Eduprize High School, where he has picked up his play and looks set for a big senior season. While Hawkins has watched as many other prospects in his class have received much more recruiting interest than him, he has now received his first scholarship offer, as Park University, a newly developed basketball program in the state, extended an offer…

This year’s Arizona Preps Fall Showcase was one to remember.  If not for the fans and basketball enthusiasts in the state, then definitely for the myself and the Arizona Preps’ staff.  While our full staff has not been there with me for each of the past showcases, many of them have been with me through the past (6) or (7) events.  This year’s event though was quite special, as I personally was able to spend this historic event with many people in the state that made it possible for all of the years. In very surprising fashion this weekend, Hillcrest Prep star 6-foot-5, 210-pound junior guard prospect Kyree Walker has decided to re-open his college recruitment and decommit from the Arizona State Sun Devils.  Walker gave a commitment to the Sun Devils as a freshman in very surprising fashion, and in the same fashion he decided to decommit.
