Jacobs brings loads of basketball experience to our organization, and also excellent experience as a evaluator of basketball talent, which will raise the level of coverage of Arizona high school, prep school and junior college basketball in the state. AZ Compass Prep has gone from an unknown charter school program to a major player among prep schools across the country in a short period of time. Behind the leadership of former Head Coach and Director of Basketball Operations Ray Weathers, the school made excellent strides in just two seasons – landing two of the nation’s elite prospects in their respective classes. After a huge narrow home victory last week in the state’s biggest game ever, in which they ended a dominant Shadow Mountain’s 73-game win streak, Pinnacle High School (6-1) returned to action Tuesday night on the road to face #2 ranked Mountain Pointe High School.
