Courtney will immediately begin to cover Arizona’s top prospects for the Arizona Preps’ site in Central and Southern Arizona. Courtney was born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu in the state of Hawaii, and has lived in Arizona since 2007. He graduated from Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu, HI, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Grand Canyon University. The state of Arizona basketball is literally at an all-time high today. While the present is very bright with the emergence and development of the prep schools around the state, the future is even much brighter with the emergence of top young prospects such as 6-foot-11 sophomore post Dylan Anderson and 6-foot-9 sophomore forward Sadraque Nganga. Hillcrest Prep has done it again – landing one of the nation’s top overall prospects to their program. Hillcrest Prep has announced the addition of 6-foot-8 freshman wing Omaha Biliew, a native of West Des Moines, Iowa. Biliew is currently rated as the nation’s top overall prospect in the 2023 Class, and will now team up with a loaded group at Hillcrest that includes 6-foot-8 junior forward Michael Foster and 6-foot-7 junior Keon Edwards (DePaul commit). The 2019-2020 high school basketball season was one to remember for many reasons – filled with intrigue and loads of exciting basketball games and top performances from players. While there were many top performers throughout the season, there was no individual student-athlete in the state that was more dominant or impressive than Millennium High School’s gifted 6-foot-9, 200-pound junior post DaRon Holmes. Hillcrest Prep turned things around in a major way this past season – wining several major tournaments to finish the season, after adding the services of future NBA draft pick, 7-foot, 2365-pound senior post Makur Maker. Maker was awesome in his performance with a loaded Hillcrest Prep program. Maker has put him name in the 2020 NBA Draft and is expected to be a first round selection.
