Over the past month, the Arizona Preps' staff has grown a great deal as the group has added some serious talent to an already very talented staff of writers, scouts and interns. As part of the group's development and new focus on covering the state's best girl's basketball talent, we are proud to announce the addition of Travis Armstrong to our staff. A former high school Head Coach for girl's basketball at Florence High School, Travis Armstrong will join the Arizona Preps' staff as the organization's lead girl's basketball scout - covering girls basketball in the state, high school and junior college.

Armstrong will join Only Cathemer (Arizona Preps' girl's scout) and partner together, with the help of the Arizona Preps' marketing team, Mason Maynard (Marketing Director) and interns Kendrick Nickels, Scotty Shaver and Addissen Stinnett (Reporter) to help improve girl's high school and junior college basketball coverage and exposure in the state.

Armstrong bring loads of coaching and overall experience to the Arizona Preps' staff and team, as he has spent many years in the state coaching and developing basketball talent in the state. Armstrong spent (8) years coaching in the Florence Youth League, (4) years coaching at Florence Junior High School, (5) years coaching the varsity team at Florence High School, (7) years developing Florence Varsity players in their skills and development, and spent (1) season as a varsity assistant at Sequoia Pathways HS. Armstrong has spent many years in the state assisting and mentoring multiple student-athletes that have went on to play at the next level.

Armstrong also has worked for (7) years as an independent scout of girl's basketball in the state - scouting and evaluating players for college coaches and also developing student-athletes on the basketball court.

Armstrong is a big addition to the Arizona Preps' staff and TEAM, and will be providing valuable insight, evaluation reports, articles and interviews of the state's top girls student-athletes on the Arizona Preps' site, as well as the Arizona Preps' social media platforms - Instagram and Twitter.

Armstrong also brings a wealth of relationships in the business with local high school and junior college coaches, and also college coaches around the country.

Armstrong is excited about the challenge and is looking forward to get going immediately, in an attempt to take girl's basketball coverage and reporting to another level, as Arizona Preps' makes our return to covering the best in girl's basketball in the state (since 2016).

Armstrong is also the father to (3) children - Marc, Tati and Travis Armstrong Jr. We are very pleased and excited to announce Armstrong's addition to the Arizona Preps' staff.

Please reach out to Travis @ (520) 251-0660 (cell) or by email @ travis.armstrong77@gmail.com to have him cover any proposed Arizona high school or junior college girls prospects.
