Mountain Pointe High School's talented 6-foot-4, 170-pound senior guard Amarion Cash has capped off a terrific senior season for himself. After a terrific senior season, where he led a very good Mountain Pointe team to a 6A state runner-up finish, Cash recently capped it off with a major commitment to a college program.
Cash is headed to Western New Mexico University, one of the stronger division-II programs in the West. Cash recently gave a verbal pledge to head coach Matt Enriquez and his basketball staff.
Cash has excellent potential as a college prospect. He is a legitimate combo-guard prospect that is able to play both guard positions on the floor, and also has a nice overall feel for the game. He is a good shooter of the basketball with a nice, left-handed shooting stroke with range on his shot. He has very good body control and is able to make plays for himself off the dribble. A fundamentally sound performer, Cash is a solid overall guard prospect with nice potential for the future.
Cash is also an excellent student - a complete student-athlete for the next level and with excellent potential as a player. He possessed better than a 4.0 CUM GPA in high school.
Congratulations to Cash on his amazing accomplishment for himself from our staff here at Arizona Preps.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Cash is a legitimate combo-guard prospect that is able to play both guard positions on the floor, and also has a nice overall feel for the game. He enjoys having the basketball in his hands where he can create for others, but he does enjoy scoring the basketball. He is a good shooter of the basketball with a nice, left-handed shooting stroke with range on his shot. He has very good body control and is able to make plays for himself off the dribble. A good scorer in the open floor. A good ball handler and passer. A very good on-the-ball defender that also plays passing lanes. A fundamentally sound performer, Cash is a solid overall guard prospect with nice potential for the future.
