The junior college season is winding down in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC), as Phoenix College (16-5, 12-1) continues to hold on to a narrow lead for first place in the conference, while Pima (19-2, 11-2) and Cochise (17-4, 10-3) are in good position late in the season.
Here are the Players of the Week in the ACCAC, as selected by the league . . .
ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Alfonso Plummer - Freshman - Arizona Western College
Plummer came up big last week - averaging 27.5 points and 5.0 rebounds, while shooting 70.8% from the field and 72.2% from 3-point range in two conference wins last week - moving Arizona Western to 14-7 on the season and 9-4 in the ACCAC.
ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Rashaad Goolsby - Sophomore - Phoenix College
Goolsby averaged 22 points and 11.5 rebounds, while shooting 57.1% from the field, while shooting 12-17 from the free throw line in two conference wins last week - helping first-place Phoenix College to a 16-5 overall record on the season and 12-1 in the ACCAC.
