The 2018-2019 junior college basketball season is now underway, as the teams have gotten off to the start to the year. Arizona Preps will be covering the season this year and will be bringing you coverage of the games, top performers and Players of the Week each week during the season.
Scottsdale Junior College (7-0, 3-0) is the hottest team in the conference - winning their last (7) games in a row. Head Coach Mark Bunker and his Scottsdale team are in first place among Division-II teams in the ACCAC.
Arizona Western is almost just as hot, winning their last (5) games in a row on the season, and standing in first place among Division-I programs in the conference.
Here are this week's Players of the Week in the ACCAC for the week of 12/4 . . .
ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Bryson Langdon - FR Guard - Arizona Western College
Langdon averaged 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5 assists per/game, while shooting an impressive 62.5% from the field, 44.4% from 3-point distance and a perfect 11-11 from the free-throw line. Langdon led Arizona Western to two ACCAC conference wins last week and an 8-2, 3-0 overall record this season.
ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Darius Goudeau - SOPH Forward - Phoenix College
Goudeau is one of the conference's most talented prospects, and he averaged 23.5 points and 8 rebounds last week, while shooting 44.1% from the field and a perfect 10-10 from the free-throw line. Goudeau led Phoenix in two ACCAC conference wins last week and a 5-3, 2-1 overall record this season.
