The 2018-2019 junior college basketball season is now underway, as the teams have gotten off to the start to the year. Arizona Preps will be covering the season this year and will be bringing you coverage of the games, top performers and Players of the Week each week during the season.
Here are this week's Players of the Week in the ACCAC for the week of 11/27 . . .
ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Chris Whitaker - FR - Guard - Cochise College
Whitaker (pictured) averaged 40.0 points per/game last week, while shooting 57.1% from the field, and going 7-for-9 from 3-point distance. He also went 9-for-11 from the free-throw line - leading Cochise to a win over Pima Community College this past week and (6-1, 1-0) overall this season.
ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Donald Carter III - FR - Guard - Scottsdale Community College
Carter averaged 21 points per/game, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, while shooting 57.1% from the field, and 83.3% from the FT line - helping Scottsdale JC with a win over Eastern Arizona College this past week and a (5-0, 1-0) overall record this season.
