Pinnacle High School's 6-foot-6 talented senior forward Mason Johnson has made his decision for college next fall. After a lot of hard work and a solid spring and summer for himself, Johnson has decided on a division-III school in Atlanta, Georgia.
Johnson will attend Emory College next fall - one of the top overall smaller college programs in the country academically, and also in the sport of basketball. Emory College has won 23 NCAA titles.
Johnson chose Emory over recruiting interest from Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell and Army.
Johnson is set to have a strong senior season after working very hard this off-season and transforming his body and significantly improving his overall approach to the game. Johnson developed himself into a skilled combo-forward - capable of playing inside and out.
Johnson looks prepared to have a big senior season for a Pinnacle High School team that is absolutely loaded with talent, and will compete hard for the 6A Division state title this season.
Johnson will also have an opportunity to have a very strong college career beginning at Emory next fall.
John is an excellent student and carries a 3.8 CUM GPA.
Congratulations to Johnson, the Pinnacle HS basketball program and the Alvin Gentry Elite club program on this commitment.
