After recently narrowing down his list of college programs to (3) schools, Millennium High School's versatile 6-foot-8 senior Kingston Tosi has now come to a decision. While it was expected that a decision would be coming soon for the talented senior prospect, Tosi announced his college decision on social media on Thursday evening - giving a verbal commitment to Utah State University in the Mountain West Conference, one of the top mid-major plus programs in the country.
Recently, Utah State hired new Head Coach Jerrod Calhoun to take over their highly successful basketball program, after former Head Coach Danny Sprinkle (University of Washington) bolted for University of Washington after his program's major success last season in the NCAA Tournament. Calhoun and his staff have now reeled in a commitment from one of the top prospects in the West.
No Arizona prospect had a better spring and summer performance than Tosi. After a strong spring and summer performance for himself, on the club circuit and also with his Millennium program, Tosi would receive numerous offers for himself. As a result, Tosi became one of the hottest prospects in the West this summer - receiving a large number of scholarship offers for himself.
Tosi trimmed down his list of desired college programs down to (3) different college programs, before his decision for Utah State, which he chose over Loyola Marymount and Fresno State.
Congratulations to Tosi and his family, as well as the Millennium and AZ Select basketball programs on another Division-I signee.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Tosi is an excellent prospect for the right college program, as he is a very skilled performer with excellent versatility as a player - able to play inside and out. He can score at all (3) levels, and uses his ability to score off the dribble and in the lane. He is a very good shooter of the basketball with range, and can get his defender off balance and make mid-range shots or finish strong in the lane over defenders. Has a very good mid-range game - one of the best in the state. He also has excellent length of body, which suggests that he is still growing a great deal, so he still has good upside. An active rebounder that rebounds outside of his area, and he is an active defender that plays passing lanes. His best years are well ahead of him. A can't miss prospect with a bright future. One of the best sleeper prospects in the West.
