"The House Twins," rising junior guards Kaden and Kalek House had made a lot of positive noise over the past (6) months, as they have just about done it all. After having an excellent season at Desert Mountain High School, the two star brothers announced their decision to leave the school for national basketball power AZ Compass Prep. After having a strong spring season on the club circuit with their loaded AZ Unity 17U team, which has qualified for the Nike EYBL's Peach Jam next month, now the House Twins have seen their college recruitment go to a completely new level, as the University of Kansas has extended a huge offer to both guard prospects.
This is a tremendous offer for the two brother superstars that look to have bright futures ahead of them. It was thought that their decision to move to AZ Compass Prep would certainly yield amazing results for their college recruitment, and it looks to already have paid some dividends, as just being a part of the AZ Compass Prep program can help a prospect's image to a college coach - resulting in much stronger focus and recruitment. While the House Twins have many other offers already, the Kansas offer is simply as big as it gets, as Head Coach Bill Self and his staff are consistently considered a Top 10 National program. The Kansas offer two both guard prospects also proves that these two elite performers will look to play together in college, and if they can do it at Kansas, then they can play together anywhere.
Both House brothers have received strong college recruitment early. Currently, the brothers have received offers from such programs as Michigan, TCU and Washington State, although two of the program's staff have changed. Expect many more college programs to soon join the party and offer these two talented brothers, now that Kansas has offered both guard prospects.
Both House brothers play with superior confidence and compete at a very high level, so college programs will continue to offer both prospects, as both prospects will be able to step right into college, and compete immediately for a Division-I program. The recruitment of both Kalek and Kaden will ultimately secure a college program's backcourt for as long as they remain in college. It also looks that both brothers will want to stay together for college, which would be a great idea, since they compliment each other so well on and off the court, and will become immediate fan favorites.
The House Twins took the state of Arizona by storm as mere freshmen and became household names across the country over the past two high school seasons at Desert Mountain High School. It didn't take much for these two elite performers to make a name for themselves, especially when their name is synonymous with elite-level basketball. The sons of former NBA Champion guard Eddie House, and the younger brothers of current University of New Mexico standout guard Jalen House, "The House Twins" are one of the hottest duo's in America, regardless of class. These two brothers instantly made the Desert Mountain program a serious contender in every game, no matter the competition.
While both brothers are elite performers, Kaden House has been absolutely on another level, as he posted ridiculous numbers in his two seasons of AIA basketball - averaging for his career, 25.1 points, 3.3 assists, 8.5 rebounds and 3.4 steals per/game. Kaden also had a career-high of 46 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Willow Canyon High School as a mere freshman. Kaden is currently ranked nationally as the #12 overall prospect in America's 2026 Class, a tremendous honor for one of the state's elite prospects. House is a stat-sheet stuffer, as a result of the level of intensity that he plays with. He is a serious competitor that plays much harder and is mentally tougher than almost anyone that he comes against. As a result, he is simply on another level than his competition, resulting in House becoming one of the elite 2026 prospects in the country.
With Kaden receiving loads of national attention for his talents, brother Kalek is not to be denied either, as he is among the elite overall guard prospects in the country also for the 2026 Class. Kalek, like his brother Kaden, is also absolute fire. Kalek also posted tremendous career numbers in the AIA, as he averaged 19 points, 2.2 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 steals per/game, while leading Desert Mountain to two impressive seasons under his leadership from the point guard position. Desert Mountain finished with a 46-13 overall record in two seasons with The House Twins.
I look forward to watching these two young men compete with their new AZ Compass Prep program in this year's Section 7 event, which will be absolutely loaded with top-rated prep programs.
