Cochise's Naje Smith Chandler-Gilbert's Blake Williams have been selcted as the ACCAC Players of the Week for the second time this season for their performances throughout January 20th - 26th.
Smith, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward from Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane, Washington, earned his second weekly honor of the season, after averaging strong numbers in two big wins for Cochise. Smith averaged 25 points in wins over Pima and Scottsdale. He was also 19-33 from the field (57%) in the two wins, and collected 23 total rebounds in the two victories.
It was also the second honor for Blake Williams, a 6-foot-4 sophomore from Chandler. Williams also averaged 25 points over two games for Chandler-Gilbert JC, a win over South Mountain and a loss to Glendale JC. Williams shot 50% from the field (13-26) and added a total of 18 rebounds in the two games.
