Notre Dame Prep's skilled, sharp-shooting 6-foot-3 senior guard Bryce Quinet had a tremendous spring and summer for himself, as he helped lead a loaded AZ Select UAA team on the Under Armour 17U circuit. The AZ Select group would have a terrific spring and summer performance in numerous events, and Quinet would catch fire in his college recruitment as a result. After generating loads of Division-I offers for himself in the process, Quinet gained an early leader in his recruitment after his spring performance. Rather than wait any longer, Quinet has decided to pull the trigger - giving a nice verbal commitment to the University of Evansville.
Evansville participates in the Missouri Valley Conference, one of the best pure mid-major basketball conferences in the country. Head Coach David Ragland and his men's basketball staff made Bryce Quinet a major focus in their recruiting, a nice opportunity for Quinet, especially in an era where Division-I coaches primarily recruit the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Quinet had recently just decided to trim down his long list of college suitors to (5) different college programs. While it was thought that Quinet would take official recruiting visits to each program, he decided to end his college recruitment and give a commitment to Evansville and their coaching staff. Quinet chose Evansville over offers from Boston University, Pacific, UC-San Diego, Coastal Carolina, UC-Santa Barbara, UMKC, Cal-State Northridge and USC Upstate. Quinet will now look to sign a National Letter of Intent during the early NCAA Signing Period.
Quinet and his AZ Select UAA-sponsored 17U team had an excellent spring and summer, as the team was loaded with talent at every position, and had a team of prospects that worked well together and complimented each other. Quinet was a big reason for the program's success, as he is a sharp-shooting, bigger guard prospect with a high basketball IQ that makes shots and makes players around him better, as a result of his passing and willingness to move the ball to the open man on the floor. Quinet is coming off a big junior season, and has had an excellent high school career thus far for himself, after a having a big-time middle school career before entering the high school ranks.
Last high school season, Quinet would take over the full time point guard duties and lead his team to numerous big wins on the season. Quinet proved his value to his team and also just how good he can be, as he made shots at a high rate, and provided excellent leadership from the point guard position for his team. Quinet averaged 18.6 points, 6.1 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals per/game last season. Quinet emerged last season as a very valuable asset to the success of a Notre Dame Prep team that finished with an impressive 25-5 overall record on the season, and he proved why he is considered among the top overall guard prospects in the 2025 Class.
There have been a lot of changes at Notre Dame Prep since last season, but Quinet will be back for his senior season and will certainly have a big and final year. Quinet will now be coached by his father, Brad Quinet, who now takes over as Head Coach, after the departure of former Head Coach Luke DallaRiva.
Congratulations to Quinet and his family on this amazing accomplishment, and also to the AZ Select club basketball program on another Division-I commitment from their program.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Quinet is a tough guard prospect with a nice frame and is able to play either guard position effectively. As a point guard, he finds the open man on the floor and makes good decisions with the basketball. As a scorer, Quinet is a natural, as he is a deadly shooter with unlimited range on his shot and has a scorer's mentality, so he can make or create shots consistently. He is a very good scorer that has very good body control and is able to create his own shot. Quinet sets up strong drives to the basket from his ability to keep defenses honest with his jump shot. He does not mind physical contact and competes hard. He also gets to the free throw line quite often, and is a strong driver and finisher. An active rebounder from the guard position, and a good defender that competes hard. A very good overall guard prospect that is fundamentally sound.
