After a period of time where his college recruitment began to slow down, his college recruitment has now picked up a great deal again as of late, as Corona Del Sol High School's superstar 6-foot-2 rising senior guard Alex Barcello is coming off an excellent summer performance for himself.
After recently receiving offers from Butler, Baylor, Georgia Tech and Tulane University, now two more schools are in hot pursuit of Barcello as Indiana and Michigan have both offered scholarships to Barcello.
Barcello advised me in Las Vegas this summer that both schools were on him hard and that he is very interested in both programs.
Barcello is still in no rush to make his college decision, but he is interested in taking visits in the fall before making his final decision.
Barcello is already among the highest recruited 2017 guards in the country, possessing a large number of offers already from the University of Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Creighton, DePaul, Grand Canyon, Marquette, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Providence, Auburn, St. Mary's (CA), Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington State.
Barcello has still not named any leaders at this point in his college recruitment, but he has indicated in the past that he really wants to play for a college program that will be honest and straight up with him, and where he has a great relationship with the head coach.
We will continue to follow the college recruitment of Barcello closely this summer and into the fall, and bring you any updates as they continue to develop.
