One of the better freshman guard prospects in the ACCAC this past junior college basketball season was Arizona Western Junior College 6-foot-2 freshman point guard prospect Nate Moore. Moore had a solid season for himself, after landing in Yuma, Arizona via the state of Wisconsin.
I caught up with Moore this spring and he advised me that he was in the process of thinking over his options for school next fall (2015), and that he was unsure as to whether he would return to AWC next season. It is still unclear as to whether Moore has made his decision on a school for next fall, but it looks as though he could be headed back to Arizona Western - only time will tell.
As a freshman, Moore averaged 7.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per/game. If Moore returns next season to AWC, he would be one of the better returning guards in the conference as a sophomore.
Moore was one of the top performers this spring at Jerry Mullen's Las Vegas Shootout in Vegas during the spring evaluation period. As a result of his performance in the event, Moore received serious attention from such college programs as Stetson University, Murray State and Youngstown State.
Moore is a very crafty and skilled point guard prospect that I enjoy watching play. He is also a very nice kid with a good attitude - on and off the floor.
Arizona Preps will continue to follow this story to see where Moore lands next college season.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Moore is a native of Milwaukee, WI, so he is very tough and plays with superior confidence. A crafty guard prospect, Moore has a slick handle of the basketball and is able to get where he wants to on the floor. He has a very good ability to change speed and direction on the floor, and is a very good finisher in traffic, where he uses his left handed prowess to make plays around and over bigger defenders. Also has a good overall feel for the game. Good shooter with range and a quick release on his shot. Pushes the basketball up the floor to the open man. A very good passer with excellent court vision. Good defender with quick hands. A floor general. Sleeper juco guard prospect.

Nate has made the decision to attend Snow College for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
Nate Moore, continuing to move ahead developing at a great pace. Nate Moore will participate in the Mullen Showcase (invite only) in St. Louis, Friday July 10th, 2015. Nate did make the decision to make Snow College his home this upcoming season with the lead role as the point guard, so look for Snow College (In Utah), which is in a very competitive region. Nate is taking this opportunity to exhibit what he can bring to a University for the last 2 years. Snow College actually noticed Nate at the Vegas Shootout….Thanks Anthony Ray, you are a positive role model in the basketball community and Nate will keep you posted….
