Gilbert vs. Mercer Island (WA) Game Recap The first game of day 3 started with a must see match-up between big 6-foot-8 sophomore center Truman Moore from Gilbert HS versus 6-foot-8 senior center Joe Rasmussen from Mercer Island HS. Joe is the son of Blair Rasmussen from the Denver Nuggets (NBA), and is on his way to Seattle-Pacific University next year. Desert Vista vs Red Mountain Game Recap The Red Mountain Wolves matched up against the Desert Vista Thunder in this exciting game. Early on, Red Mountain’s Derek Rojas and Desert Vista’s Greg Carter came out scoring. Arcadia vs Centennial Game Recap The game which would crown the consolation champion was a matchup between Arcadia and Centennial. Arcadia was led by the second leading scorer of the tournament, 6-foot-1 junior Calvin Outlaw, who was averaging 28.5 points per/game coming in. With each team coming off of a loss, this was expected to be a show of desperate teams. Fountain Hills came out in a full-court press.
