The wait is finally over for Centennial High School’s hard-working 6-foot-5 senior guard/forward Emery Young, after he signed a national letter of intent to play for Arizona Christian University this weekend. This July (2023), the NCAA will re-introduce their attempt to create the NCAA College Basketball Academy. These academies are designed to create awareness and understanding of college athletics, while pairing student-athletes with high level competition and skills training. Brophy Prep’s high school basketball program has consistently performed at a high level and been one of the top programs in the state each season. In exciting fashion on Monday morning, Hillcrest Prep’s terrific 6-foot-9 unsigned senior forward Jordan Burks announced his commitment to the University of Kentucky through social media. Burks had gone uncommitted to a college program for some time before his commitment announcement, but he was one of the nation’s elite available prospects.
