One of the top overall prospects to come out of Northern Arizona over the past several years has been Prescott High School 2022 graduate Jason Parent. Parent posted impressive numbers throughout his high school career and became a household name in Northern Arizona. After spending a season at Northern Arizona University during his freshman season as a redshirt, and then attending Nebraska Wesleyan University (NE) this fall, Parent recently decided to return home from the D-3 program, and now has decided to enroll at Yavapai College, where he will pick up his career next season as a sophomore transfer next…
Desert Mountain High School (3-1) has had an excellent start to the new high school season. After a terrific weekend at the Hoop Hall West event, but also suffering their first loss of the season to Pinnacle High School, Desert Mountain is on the rise in Arizona and in the West. This talented group of performers has already proven that they are one of the clear favorites to compete for this year’s Open Division State Championship, although they lack depth on their bench. On Tuesday evening, the talented and young starting five for Desert Mountain played the majority of minutes…
Desert Mountain High School (2-1) had a very exciting weekend for themselves, as the team opened up their new season with this year’s exciting Hoop Hall West event at Chaparral High School. While playing and winning two exciting games in the Hoop Hall showcase event over the weekend, Desert Mountain would fall to Pinnacle High School on a last second shot, 98-97, in a super exciting regular season match-up. The exciting Hoop Hall West event is in full action now, especially after Thursday night’s games, which included several really good match-ups on the evening to kickstart this year’s event in Arizona. While our staff has marveled this pre-season at the parity between the state’s top teams, this year’s Hoop Hall West waited no time bringing some of the state’s top teams together – matching them up for full head-to-head competition. These match-ups in this year’s event have done my job for me early in the season – proving just how good each program is, by matching them up with…

Tenette and Gaul have come together in each game to lead Prescott to a 3-1 start to the high school season. Prescott is projected as one of our top programs in the state this high school season. and the early production and play of Tenette, combined with the strong support of Gaul, has Prescott as a strong contender to compete for a 4A State Title this…
