Phoenix College 6-foot, 160-pound sophomore point guard Christian Bower is among the top point guard prospects in Arizona’s junior college ranks (ACCAC), after leading his program to a 20-11 overall record on the season and a 12-8 record in the ACCAC this season. Bower was selected as a 2nd Team All Conference and also as a 1st Team Division-II All-Region selection this year. Salpointe Catholic High School’s 6-foot-6, 205-pound senior forward Talbott Denny is among the top unsigned senior prospects in the state. Denny is coming off a very good senior campaign, where he turned in his biggest and best season of his high school career – leading Salpointe to a 24-8 overall record on the season, and the quarterfinals of the Division-II state playoffs. Boulder Creek High School’s ultra-skilled 6-foot-4, 190-pound junior guard Josh Braun is among the elite prospects in Arizona’s 2013 class. Braun is coming off an excellent junior season in which he led his Boulder Creek team to a 20-7 overall record on the season. Cochise Junior College won the regular season ACCAC Conference title after a 16-4 record in the conference this season. A major reason for the program’s success this season was the play of 6-foot-3, 190-pound sophomore guard Nathan Sobey. After signing a division-I scholarship in the fall of 2010 with the University of Utah and spending a freshman season under first-year head coach Larry Krystkowiak, Matthews has decided to get his release from the PAC-12 program and look abroad.
