As we prepare to begin releasing our players rankings for boys in the state of Arizona, we have taken into account the recent individual performances from the high school season, and also each player's performance throughout this spring's evaluation period.

We will be releasing position rankings for the 2013 and 2014 classes, and will release an overall player ranking list for the 2015 class for the boys in the state.

Many players have really helped themselves this spring and will look to make early jumps in the player rankings.

While already holding a high ranking in the 2013 class, such players as Basha High School's 6-foot-5 junior guard Jaron Hopkins and 6-foot-7 junior post Torren Jones have solidified their high ranking with strong performances this spring.  Each of these prospects have only solidified their positions in the rankings this spring, while many others will look to rise in the rankings after strong spring performances.

Amongst the 2013 class, Poston Butte HS 6-foot-3 junior guard Jalen Richard is coming off a very strong high school season, and continued his strong performance during the spring evaluation period.  Richard proved that he can get it done against the best competition in the West in several events this spring.  Look for Richard to make a significant jump in the 2013 player rankings.

Marcos De Niza HS 6-foot-4 junior guard Richaud Gittens helped himself as much as any prospect in the 2013 class this spring with several strong performances.  Gittens has also received several scholarship offers this spring as a result of his strong play, and will benefit nicely in our player rankings.

Brophy Prep's 6-foot-9 junior post Tim Kempton also raised his play a great deal this spring, and has earned scholarship offers as a result.  Look for Kempton to see a rise amongst post players in the class.

Desert Vista HS 6-foot-1 junior guard John Marshall was very consistent in his play this spring and raised his level of play a great deal from the high school season.  Marshall's ability as a pure-point guard prospect will serve him very well also in the spring player rankings.

Saguaro HS 5-foot-11 junior guard Ryan Berg and Gilbert HS 6-foot-3 junior guard Conner Helvig both had big springs for themselves and will see a rise in the rankings as well.

Another player that will enter nicely into  the player rankings will be Greenway HS 6-foot-3 junior guard Chris Miller.  Miller is coming off a big junior season where he put up big numbers.  His spring performance has been up and down, but his overall skill level and ability to play the game will serve him nicely.

Other 2013 prospects that will benefit in this spring's player rankings after strong spring performance's are Independence HS 6-foot-6 junior Jonathan Wilson, Horizon HS 6-foot-2 junior guard Kye De Laveaga, Sierra Vista HS 6-foot-5 junior forward Damian Mendoza, Marcos De Niza HS 6-foot-3 junior guard Devin White, Peoria HS 6-foot-2 junior guard Desmond Ross, Red Mountain HS 6-foot-3 junior guard Travis Meeker, Mountain Pointe HS 6-foot-1 junior guard Khari Holloway, Marcos De Niza HS 6-foot-2 junior guard Avery Brunson, Desert Vista HS 6-foot-2 junior guard Kyle Pittman and Saguaro HS 5-foot-11 junior guard Mike Hauser.

Each of these players have helped themselves this spring and will look to gain recognition through our new summer player rankings for the 2013 class.
