It has been a long road for Gilbert High School’s 6-foot-7 senior wing Chris Bowling. After being on the recruiting board for sometime and getting tired of the recruiting process, Bowling has mulled over his options for the future hard this spring – debating over making a college decision soon, based on the offers he current has on the table, or playing through the spring club season in pursuit of more offers. After careful consideration of both options, Bowling has decided to make his college decision – electing for a local division-I program. On Thursday afternoon, Bowling made his decision…

Another one of the top available senior prospects in Arizona’s 2016 class is Gilbert High School’s 6-foot-7 senior wing Chris Bowling. Bowling is still on the recruiting board this spring, and is in the process of deciding on what he wants to do for next fall. Bowling has scholarship offers on the table, and is considering making his college decision soon, or playing through the spring club season in pursuit of more offers. While Bowling has still yet to garner as much division-I interest as I had expected he would, he has received division-I offers thus far from Northern Arizona,…
There are still some very good prospects still available in the state of Arizona’s 2016 class – unsigned for the spring signing period. One of the top prospects still availble this spring is Shadow Mountain High School’s athletic and talented 6-foot-3, 190-pound senior guard JJ Rhymes. Rhymes finished off a stellar high school career this high school season with his second Division-II state title for Shadow Mountain, and was also selected as the Player of the Year for the division this season – an impressive honor. Rhymes led Shadow Mountain to a 27-5 overall record on the season, and his…
Arizona’s 2017 class of prospects are preparing to take center stage on the recruiting trail this spring, and many of Arizona’s top prospects are looking to make a name for themselves with strong performances on the aau/club circuit. One player that has already emerged this spring is Poston Butte High School’s 6-foot-8 junior forward Tyson Beringer. I recently saw Beringer perform in the Arizona’s Finest Top 20 Showcase event, and came away very impressed with this young man’s potential for the future. Beringer is a very athletic shotblocker and rebounder that should make a nice splash this spring, with the…

Another member of Arizona’s 2016class has found a college home this week, as Gilbert High School’s talented 6-foot-6, 190-pound senior forward Jacob Nicolds has made his college decision. This week, Nicolds decided to give a verbal commitment to Dixie State University and head coach Jon Judkins and his coaching staff. Assistant coach and valley native, Kevin Williamson, was instrumental in the college recruitment of Nicolds. Williamson has made a living out of recruiting Arizona’s best basketball prospects, and he looks to have done it again – reeling in Nicolds for next fall. Nicolds is a tough and gritty forward prospect…
