Mesa Junior College 6-foot-7, 220-pound sophomore forward Noe Anabir saw his minutes diminish throughout this junior college season, after having a strong start, but in the end, it all worked out for Anabir.  This week Anabir signed a national letter of intent with a program in the Horizon League. Anabir signed this week with Youngstown State University and new head coach Jerrod Calhoun.  Calhoun recently was hired as the head coach at the school and was in search of talent for his program.  He landed Anabir. Phoenix College 6-foot-5 sophomore wing Avonte Nelms had a solid two-year career at Phoenix College under head coach Matt Gordon, and now he has found a new college home – signing this week with Regis University in Colorado. Regis is a strong division-II basketball program.  Former Regis University assistant coach Steve Ledesma is a native of Arizona and currently works closely with Gordon on a local basketball league – making the transition for Nelms almost seemless.
