6-foot-4 junior wing Trenton Washington has been one of the better prospects in the state’s 2018 class for several years, but while many other prospects in  the state have had more success on the basketball court, Washington is looking to develop for the collegiate level in two different sports. Washington is a two-sport stud athlete, that has an ability to play collegiately in either basketball or football.  He is a tremendous athlete with natural physicality, which suggests that he could excel in either sport.  While it is almost obvious that Washington could play atleast at the mid-major level for football…

While this camp is widely known as one of the most acclaimed basketball camps in the country, it has not been a place where Arizona’s best talent have been widely permitted to attend.  While this event is an excellent opportunity for Arizona’s top prospects to gain national attention, for whatever reason, they have not shown up at the camp…

Mountain Pointe High School’s talented 6-foot-3 junior guard prospect Amarion Cash is a nice talent for Arizona’s 2018 class of prospects.   While still an unheralded prospect in the class, Cash has excellent potential as a college prospect. Cash emerged this past high school season and this spring as a nice guard prospect for a smaller college program.  Also an excellent student, Cash is a complete student-athlete for the next level and excellent potential for the future. This past high school season, Cash emerged – averaging 9.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per/game.  Next season, while playing for new head coach, Duane…

One of the better prospects in Arizona’s 2018 class is Hamilton High School’s talented 6-foot-4, 185-pound junior guard Rashad Smith.  Smith had a breakout season for himself this past high school season, and is also coming off a good showing this spring.  As a result, Smith is now receiving good division-I interest for himself. This spring while traveling with the Las Vegas Prospects (NV), a Nike-sponsored EYBL team, Smith saw the majority of his time at the point guard position on the competitive circuit, and raised many eyebrows with his performance. I caught up with Smith recently and he advised…

The wait is finally over for Greenway High School’s sharp-shooting 6-foot-3, 170-pound senior guard Scotty Shaver as he has made his college decision.  Shaver will be taking his game to Ottawa University next college season. After reviewing his many options for the future, Shaver decided to stay home – rather than venture to the East or Mid-West for college.  As a result, Shaver would decide to stay home with his family in Phoenix – signing a national letter of intent with Ottawa University and new head coach Matt Heeley. Matt Heeley took over the Ottawa program just months ago, coming…
