In an amazing honor for two young Arizona high school prospects, Pinnacle High School’s 6-foot-3 freshman star guard Niko Mannion and Desert Ridge High School’s 6-foot-8 freshman forward Jason Harris have both been added to the 2017 USA Men’s U16 National Team training camp roster. The wait is finally over for Greenway High School’s sharp-shooting 6-foot-3, 170-pound senior guard Scotty Shaver as he has made his college decision. Shaver will be taking his game to Ottawa University next college season. This weekend while scouting the Southwest Showcase Summer Championships at the Avondale Sports Complex, I was able to observe the play of Pinnacle High School’s talented 6-foot-8 freshman post Tosh Baker, while playing for his club program the Arizona Rebels. Very rarely do I get to see a post player so young and with so much physical size, skillset and agility.
