The scholarship offers seem to just keep pouring in for St. Mary's High School's 6-foot-10 sophomore post prospect KJ Hymes.  After a good summer performance, Hymes has peaked the interest of numerous college programs as of late - blowing him up with college coaches.  This week, Hymes received an offer from a local PAC-12 program.

Head coach Bob Hurley and his Arizona State staff have made a tremendous commitment to the state of Arizona since being hired, and this week the Sun Devils would commit themselves to another Arizona prospect when they made an offer to KJ Hymes.

Recently, Hymes also received high-major division-I offers from Georgia Tech, Clemson and from Memphis University.  He has also received a scholarship offer from Grand Canyon University, and also serious interest from such programs as Virginia, Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin.Hymes received loads of attention from college coaches, as a result of his extreme potential for the future.  While he still has a long way to go physically, the extreme potential is there for the future, which has some college coaches salivating over him.

Hymes will only continue to improve a great deal over the next three years of high school, while continuing to gain major attention from college coaches while playing for the highly acclaimed Las Vegas Prospects (NV) during the spring and summer.

Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report:  Hymes is a long and skilled prospect that gravitates to the perimeter where he has a solid shooting stroke with range.  He looks to be very comfortable on the wing and will develop with maturity and hard work.  He also has a good understanding of the post position and has good low-post footwork and moves, which allow him to score inside and out.  He is a solid finisher now and uses his length to finish plays over defenders, and possesses a good overall feel for the game offensively.  Hymes is an active rebounder and shotblocker, but he should develop in both of these two areas over time - especially as he gains much more physical size and strength.  His body is very thin now and lacks physical strength, but he should add strength over time with natural maturity and hard work in the weight room.  He is a good passer and and has a nice overall feel for the game.  Hymes has tremendous upside as a prospect.  He will only continue to improve throughout his high school career - growing into an excellent college prospect.
