One of the top unsigned prospects in Arizona's 2025 Class of unsigned seniors is Arcadia High School's talented and versatile 6-foot-8, 200-pound senior forward Jamison Fox. Arcadia High School (10-8) is a program on the rise this season behind the dedicated and strong leadership of new Head Coach, Greg Richards. Since taking over the program, Richards has done an excellent job in making the Arcadia program one of the top programs in the state's 4A Division. The play of Jamison Fox has been an integral part of the program's resurgence this season, as Fox is finishing off a strong high school career this season, with his best season to date. Here is why I believe that Fox is an excellent prospect for college programs to take a hard look at this spring.
Fox has developed in each season and improved a great deal throughout his high school career. He is having his best season this year, and has become an excellent sleeper prospect for college programs to recruit this spring. Fox is soaring under the recruiting radar currently, although he is hearing from numerous smaller college programs. He has the skillset and versatility to become a serious college player over time, and his best years are still well ahead of him. This is one young man that will continue to develop nicely over time, and has the intangibles and ability to become a special player.
Fox has excellent versatility as a player and he is a difficult match-up for opposing teams and players in Arizona, as he has excellent size and an ability to make plays from the perimeter, off the dribble or in the post - scoring at all (3) levels. He is deceivingly athletic and lengthy, and will surprise you, as he did in a match-up with St. Mary's High School on Friday (1/17) evening against St. Mary's, when Fox did a spin move on the baseline into traffic and dunked the ball with two hands around defenders. He also has a soft shooting stroke with range, but is at his best from mid-range. He is able to set up drives to the basket around defenders, as a result of his ability to make shots from the perimeter. He can score with either hand around the basket, and has good feet and hands. He is an active rebounder and finisher, and also a capable shot-blocker. He runs the floor very well and can score in transition. He is a complete player with size and upside.
As Jamison continues to mature physically and adds more physical size and strength over time, which will come at the collegiate level, this young man will blossom. Jamison will be an excellent prospect for a Division-II college program, but after a stint in the junior college ranks, if he decides to do so, this young man could definitely develop into a mid-major Division-I prospect. It will be very interesting to see which route he ultimately decides on.
Jamison is currently averaging 10 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game on the season, while shooting 51% from the field. He has teamed up nicely with 6-foot-4 junior Mason Kendrick to give Arcadia one of the best one-two punches in the state. Arcadia had won (4) of their last (5) games on the season, before their loss to St. Mary's Friday night. They have an interesting stretch for the remainder of the high school season, which includes two games against Marcos De Niza, Cactus Shadows and Mesquite. They will have a nice rematch with Scottsdale Saguaro High School (12-6) on 1/31, after losing to a surging Saguaro program recently, 76-56.
I will continue to follow the play and college recruitment of Jamison Fox this high school season, as well as the Arcadia team, as they look to finish the season strong in the state's 4A Division, and compete for a 4A State Championship.
