The 2016-2017 junior college basketball season in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) is now underway, and in full swing. Arizona Western currently stands alone in first place among division-I schools @ 10-2, while Phoenix College (10-3) is currently in sole first place for division-II schools.

ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Andre Jones, Arizona Western
Andre Jones (pictured) led Arizona Western to two ACCAC wins this past week - averaging 16.5 points, 9 rebounds and 1 steal per contest in just over 21 minutes per game. His week included a 23-point, 14-rebound performance in the Matadors 101-97 win over Pima.
ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Dominique Martinez, Glendale
Dominique Martinez averaged 20.5 points, 10 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per contest, while leading Glendale to two wins this past week. Martinez made 16 of his 26 shot attempts (62%) and made 9 of his 12 free throw attempts. His week included a 27-point, 10-rebound performance in a Gauchos road win at Eastern Arizona.
