ACCAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week: 1/11

The 2016-2017 junior college basketball season in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) is now underway, and in full swing.  There is a 3-way tie for division-I schools in the confgerence at 7-2, between Cochise, Arizona Western and Mesa Junior College.  Phoenix College is currently in sole first place for division-II schools, with a 7-2 record in the division.

Here are this week’s Players of the Week in men’s basketball in the conference.  . . .

ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Nate Bradford, Eastern Arizona

Eastern Arizona's 6-foot-3 freshman guard Nate Bradford averaged 20.5 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, while shooting 55% from the field this past week for Eastern Arizona. In the Gila Monsters' first win of the week over South Mountain, Bradford was 3 assists shy of a triple-double - pouring in 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists.

ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Derek Danzler-Fulner, Chandler-Gilbert

Chandler-Gilbert 6-foot-5 freshman Derek Danzler-Fulner had a fabulous week for Chandler-Gilbert - averaging 20 points and 5 rebounds, while shooting 53% from the field and a fantastic 84% from the free throw line (16-19), as the Coyotes picked up two crucial wins this past week in ACCAC play.
