The junior college season is coming to a close in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC), as Phoenix College (23-7, 19-3) continues to hold on to a narrow lead for first place in the conference. Pima JC (26-4, 18-4) is in excellent position late in the season, currently in second place and playing their best basketball of the season. Both teams are setting up for another face-off for the Division-II title.
Arizona Western and Cochise JC are currently in 3rd and 4th place in the conference - fighting for the Division-I conference title.
Here are the Players of the Week in the ACCAC, as selected by the league . . .
ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Chaz Mack - Sophomore - Cochise College
Chaz Mack averaged 25.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, while shooting 66.7% from the field in two conference games. Cochise finished with a 1-1 record this past week to move them to 21-8 on the season and 14-7 in the ACCAC.
ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Isaiah Murphy - Sophomore - Pima Community College
Murphy averaged 25 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 57.6% from the field, as Pima JC went 2-0 in conference games this past week to move Pima to 26-3 on the season and 18-3 in the ACCAC.
